Our Camu Camu Powder is harvested from the Camu Camu fruit (myrciaria dubia) on the fringe of Peruvian and Brazillian rainforests. Being native to the South American rainforests, Camu Camu Powder is high in minerals and vitamin C (Camu Camu powder actually contains more vitamin C than any other Amazonian plants). Our Camu Camu powder is a dark red, 100% raw and low temperature dehydrated powder which is made of about 20% vitamin C. While the Camu Camu berry is fresh it contains over 50 times the amount of vitamin C than a typical orange.
Most commonly found in vitamin C supplement capsules, 1/8 teaspoon equals about 500 milligrams of Camu Camu powder and with a 100 gram bag you can get at least 200 servings. Because Camu Camu powder is a food you can mix it in well with dishes and smoothies as an additional flavor and increase it's therapeutic benefits. Camu Camu powder works well when mixed in with MSM powder. Some believe that vitamin C can be very beneficial in healing and eliminating scar tissue.
This Camu Camu powder is a wonderful source of calcium, iron, potassium, phosphorus, thiamine, niacin, riboflavin and the amino acids valine, leucine and serine. Camu Camu powder has been used by many people to support the immune system, clean and beautify the skin, improve and maintain clear eyesight, improve focus, and clarity during stressful times. It is both antiviral and a great source of free radical fighting antioxidants. In botanical research and testing Camu Camu powder has shown an ability to aid in 12 different common ailments such as migraine headaches and colds.
